Charming Farmhouse Inside A Nature Park

Equally distant (100 kms) from Rome and Naples, the property is located near the town of Terracina, 10 kms from the sea, inside the regional nature park of the Ausoni mountains, with its unique limestone cones and its typical vineyards nested between the rock formations of the natural monument of Campo Soriano.

The property includes a two-storey country house of 230 m2 living space, with two independent apartments of 5 and 6 beds, which were turned into a B&B in 1995 and have been profitable for the last 20 years, hosting guests from all over Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. A large entrance hall with a built-in fireplace gives access to the various parts of the house. The part lived in by the owner has 6 to 8 beds, a large living room and a large comfortable kitchen. In the basement there is a 180 m2 storeroom/garage with laundry facilities and a ping pong room.

A wide open space in front of the house has an 8-meter long chestnut table under large helm trees which provide a pleasant shaded area through the summer months, mild winters are often enjoyed. The house is surrounded by a one-hectare (10.000 m2) land, with animal barns for donkeys and horses, ducks and chickens. The site has hosted activities as educational farm, or petting zoo, and donkey therapy. A swimming pool, ideal for children, offers a relax shaded area with a view over the nature park and the valley below.

The ancient trail “sentiero delle torce” (= the torches trail) runs along the western fence of the property. This ancient trail, mentioned in tourist guidebooks of southern Latium, goes back in history and still today on 15th August (Ascension Day) it hosts a nighttime procession by the light of the torches down the slope of the mountain ‘monte Romano’.
