The accommodation

The house has two floors and it is surrounded by a private garden divided in two zones: the first one - facing the sea - includes a large “relax area” with a gazebo, a table for having lunch or dinner outdoors, a barbecue zone and a patio equipped for sunbathe. The second zone includes an outside shower, a second table for eating outdoors, and a small grassland with a shady mulberry provided with a hammock, where you will enjoy long regenerating naps in the afternoon. All the plants of the garden are provided with an automatic watering system.
The ground floor has a big dining/living room with a full-equipped kitchen (oven and dishwasher are included) and a small toilet where you will find the washing machine.
On the first floor there is the sleeping area of the house. This area has three bedrooms.
The first one includes: a double bed, air-conditioning, a private toilet with another shower, and a small terrace with a fantastic sea-view.
The second one includes: two single beds (which can be easily moved if necessary), air conditioning, and, once again, another great sea-view window.
Conversely, the third one includes a single bed with another pull-out bed. In addition, on the first floor you will also find a second bathroom.
In front of the house, a wonderful park (jointly owned) equipped with barbecue areas for parties and dinners divides the house and the sea. Moreover, the house has a private parking space for cars.

The access to the rocky shore, reserved to the owners of the houses of the resort, ensures total peace and privacy even during the highest tourist season (middle august). The house is fully equipped, and it also has a washing machine, a dishwasher, air conditioning, internet and TV (Italian channels only). All rooms have linen and towels.

The neighbourhood

The house is located on the coast, in a small town called Lama di Taranto (or simply Lama). The town, calm and friendly, is the ideal location for a relaxing holiday in a suggestive environment. In Lama you will find everything you need, such as supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, bars, etc… The closest train station is the one of Taranto, whilst the closest airport is the one of Brindisi.
In the surrounding area there are restaurants, pizzerias, and other typical bars where you can taste local specialities.

The surroundings

Lama of Taranto is the ideal starting point to explore the wonderful coast of Salento, which is known for its beautiful landscapes and its historical importance, since the whole territory is considered as the cradle of the Magna Graecia. On the coast you will enjoy long and sandy beaches, perfect for walks at sunset.
The position of Lama is strategic to easily reach the close cities of Taranto, rich in history and culture, and Martina Franca, with its suggestive alleys, and Grottaglie, famous for its ceramics. Not far from Lama you can also enjoy the green coastal zones of Campo Marino and Porto Cesareo, the vast beaches of Marina di Lizzano with their unique dunes, the nightlife of Gallipoli and the many attractions spread all over the area surrounding Lama.
In an hour and a half you can also reach the magic cities of Lecce and Matera (European Culture Capital 2019), and many other beautiful towns ready to be discovered in our incredible region.
