With pebbles on entry to the water, it turns into sand with the odd boulder scattered about. It is lovely to swim here, with the cliffs and old boat house doors in various degrees of charming weathered age, a fascinating backdrop. 

Because of its sheltered position, many mega-yachts choose the safe anchorage of this bay on their visits to Santorini. You can also take advantage of the many tavernas and restaurants that are all within an easy walk. Sample delicious Greek foods and soak up the local atmosphere. As there is an outdoor table on the ground level outside the beach cave, several of the tavernas will serve you right at your own table.
