In the south-west of Hungary, in a quiet winery area, we have run our certified biological farm for 27 years, producing high-quality biological dairy and meat products. The farm is among the oldest biological farms in Hungary. Our products have a nationwide reputation for quality. Sadly, personal circumstances oblige us to sell this well-situated and successful farm.The property covers 16 hectares of land including a 200-year-old, authentically restored farmhouse, 2 guesthouses, a dairy manufactory, a meat processing plant, stables, additional buildings for animals and storage, and 9 winehouses. Our offer includes machinery to run the farm, all the equipment needed to produce our renowned cheese and meat products, and livestock.
As a part of your purchase, we will transfer to you our special knowledge of cheesemaking, and introduce you to our customers, markets and suppliers. With this know-how, within a few months, you will have a business selling your own biological products.
Additionally, there are possibilities to expand the business with tourism, wellness, winemaking, pomiculture, cheese making courses, horseriding, etc. Most of these activities conform with Hungarian policies—therefore facilitating the finance of new initiatives.
Despite its modest size— 10 cows and 20 pigs—revenues suffice to support a family and an employee. We attribute this to the profitability of our premium products along with governmental incentives for biological farming in the form of subsidies and tax reductions.
The farm is 35 km from Pécs, 8 kms from Szigetvár, and 40 kms from Kaposvár.
