Property Description
I am selling my house which sits in the rolling countryside of Civitaquana in Pescara. This area of Abruzzo is not only famous for its wine and olive oil but also its fantastic food. The house is situated within equidistant of the mountains for skiing and the beautiful and huge beaches that run along the coastline, taking around 30 minutes by car to either mountains or beach and 25 minutes to drive to the airport in Pescara.I have owned this house for twelve yearrs and had some renovation works completed back in 2009.
The house is semi detached, this has been a massive asset to me as my Italian neighbours have lived there all their lives and have helped me enormously, in fact I bought the house from them, they help me with any situation that may occur, big or small, they also watch the house when I am not there for me. If it is your first experience owning a property abroad, you will soon realise the importance of having people like my neighbours around.
The house consists of two double bedrooms, a bathroom, a lounge and a kitchen. The whole interior size of the house is 80 sq metres. There is an open fire, gas central heating, The windows all have wooden shutters which were installed new in 2009. On the ground floor the arched ceilings have been revealed and all modern utilities are in the kitchen. The house was built about 100 years ago and of course isn't perfect but it is certainly liveable as it stands now, but could do with some attention in places as with all older properties do. I am going to be leaving most of the large furniture items and these will be listed to the purchaser for discussion.
The garden is 830 sq meters and has olive trees, walnut trees, an almond tree, fig trees, a vine, an apricot tree and a well (as seen in pictures) and it is large enough to have a swimming pool put in. Also there is a patio area leading from the kitchen.
Along with the house comes a small barn which some renovation work has been carried out on, but not completed. The barn has basically two levels as I had a mezzanine level put in. The ground floor space for living has an open lounge and kitchen area plus a separate bathroom. The mezzanine level is ideal as a bedroom and would accommodate two people. The barn is directly opposite the house. The amazing thing about the barn is that I also own the land behind it which is 5000 sq meters and amongst other trees that are on the land it does have approximately 20-30 olive trees on it, which were once used for producing and selling oil. These trees can be used again and certainly more trees can be planted to make a good business. My idea was to complete the barn and either use it for B&B purposes or have it as an office area for the production of the oil.
I have an excellent friend who is an estate agent in Pescara who can show you around the property should I not be there, so viewing is not a problem at all.
I am contactable on email or whatsapp to ask more questions.
I need serious purchasers and no time wasters please. I am going to advertise the property at a low figure as I would prefer to complete the sale while still in Europe. I will be open to offers but obviously within reason please.
