Abruzzo Region. The town dates from the beginning of 1200 and has an historic castle with a
roman tower. The castle has served as the royal accommodation of last Italian King Vittorio
Emanuele III and his son Umberto I together with their family and entire crew. Now the castle is
the host of a byzantine museum known all around the region and outside.

production of olive oils and fine wines. From the town it is possible to reach Ortona beach in 15
