The apartment is located in an 18th-century building along the Giudecca Canal. It is about 95 square meters in size, located on the second floor by American standards (first floor for Europeans), and serviced by an elevator (a rarity in Venice!). All rooms overlook a large, pretty, secluded garden with flowers and shade trees. In the garden there is a conciergerie, which is manned from 6 am to 10 pm (an important safety factor). It is well-served by ferries and yet far from the crowds of tourists and their noise.

The floor plan consists in a large square entrance foyer, large living room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a full kitchen. All rooms overlook a wonderful lush private garden. At present, it is decorated in perfect Venetian style , with antique furniture and Murano glass. (The apartment furnishings can be included in the sale, if desired.) The hot water and heat are centralized, and there is at present WiFi in the apartment (15 Gb/month). Currently, there is no centralized air-conditioning but only two mobile units. There is also a new washing machine and television.

From the apartment it is just a five-minute walk to the vaporetto stop Giudecca - Palanca , where there's a vaporetto going directly to San Marco and Murano in one direction, and another going in the opposite direction to the train station or the parking garages in Piazzale Roma and the Tronchetto. During the summer, a boat will take you directly to the Lido where you can spend a day at the beach.

The island of Giudecca is a charming corner of Venice that is little frequented by the mass of tourists and yet provides one of the best panoramic views of the 'City of Love'. In recent years Giudecca has been enhanced by the restoration of the Stucky Mills complex (now the Hilton Hotel), the opening of the exhibition space in Palazzo Tre Oci, and the flourishing of new and interesting bars and restaurants. And of course there are also still some wonderful old places serving fine cuisine. And as far as cooking at home is concerned, the apartment is only a ten-minute walk from the Coop supermarket on the island.
