Pásztó is located between two mountains; Cserhát and Mátra and is exactly an hour drive from Budapest (90 km).
Its roots is from the roman era and has a geotherm water bath, which is under recovery. It is financed by the EU.
The area is promising and infrastructurally growing.

The town:
In the center of the city is the Pásztó Castle, which was built in the Middle Ages. Today, the castle operates as a small museum and contains many interesting exhibits. There are also many other historical attractions in the city, such as the Church of St. László, which was built in the 13th century.

This small town offers many opportunities for excursions. One of the best places to hike is Mount Karancs, which is the highest mountain in the area. From the top of the mountain there is a stunning view of the surrounding area and the distant mountains. If you like adventure, you should definitely not miss the Karancs cave. This cave is the largest cave in the Cserhát Mountains and has impressive calcite formations.

Pásztó has a bilingual high school, that operates in french, english and german.

The area:

There is also many spring water sources on the area, and hunters can find oppurtunities locally to to the sport. .

There are the towns Hollók? (UNESCO) and Mátraverebély (holy well) is close to Pásztó. Both of them are a 10-15 minutes drive away.

In Mátraverebély, the ffirst miraculous healing happened here in the 12th century when Virgin Mary appeared to a mute shepherd and as he drank from the water he regained his speech. In the next century processions from the church of Verebély had become common and the Holy Well soon became one of the most important pilgrimage site.
In 1700, an investigation by Pope Clement XI recognized the miraculous healings as real. This church was honoured with the title “Basilica minor” by Pope Paul VI in 1970.

No lets go to the land again.

The Muzsla part (where the land is located) is the trendy place where everyone wants to own either a weekend house or a land, because there are many rumors about possible developments including makeing the lake available for swimming and boating. Also because the silence and nature.

The land -that now I am offering for sale- will have a panorama for the town of Pásztó and both the mountains if a two-story building is going to be built on it. The land is on a high point, so no threat of floods.

The area is safe, despite very rarely inhabited. The trend to moving there is pretty new (we can talk about a 5-year period) , and it is because of the possible EU backing about the planned developments.
